Thanks to the kind collaboration with ‘Fabiolous Cooking Day' and 'That's Amore Restaurant', we are now offering Cooking and Language classes in Rome. Various courses are available based on your interest. We are located at 83, Via A. Depretis a few meters from St. Mary Major Basilica and near ‘That’s Amore’ Restaurant. Cooking Lessons for Groups at That’s Amore Restaurant

The school can arrange lessons with classes made up from a minimum of 5/6 people to 50 people.

Lessons last two hours and may include also the meal, either lunch or dinner.

Walking Tour Rome

There is an archaic saying, most likely as ancient as Rome , ‘When in Rome , do as the Romans do’. Thus is the basis of which we have orchestrated our new cooking lesson. Our ‘Walking Tour’ intertwines the discovery of the magical Italian cuisine juxtaposed with the sightseeing beauty that in this world only Rome has to offer. You will see Rome through the eyes of a local and find fresh ingredients in local neighborhoods of Rome.

The magical cobblestone streets will take you by sites including: Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Pietra, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Jewish ghetto and the fantastic Campo de Fiori.

The Rome cooking lessons and walking tour take place from 9.30 to 15.30. Lessons are held in a wonderful noble palazzo in Gregoriana Street a short walk from the Spanish Steps. Held in English the cooking classes can also feature a market visit and wine tasting. You'll start at the Trevi Fountain and take in many classic spots including the market of Campo de Fiori to purchase the ingredients for the lesson and eventual lunch. What has been prepared in all lessons becomes a wonderful lunch or evening meal and everyone can attend the classes, from beginners to experienced gourmets.

Cooking Course at Mazzano Romano

- A DAY TO REMEMBER –

Sights to dream of, food to feed the soul, feelings to live from; moments to last a lifetime.

This special day commences at around 9:30 in the morning. There will be a car waiting at the steps of your hotel and from there the adventure shall begin! Fabio Bongianni will take you to the ancient village of Mazzano Romano. There have been traces of the existence of this village dating back to the Roman era. Although it is only 30 minutes outside of Roma, once inside this mid-evil village, you will feel like you’ve entered another world. In Mazzano, Fabio will introduce you to local merchants where you can hand-pick the freshest ingredients of the day. He then will take you back to his lavish garden to pick the fresh herbs. Once inside his featured home the lessons shall begin. Chef Fabio will take his time, slowly and clearly explaining in depth how it is one cooks, but more so, how one cooks well. He will teach you how to make mouth watering Italian pasta and encourage you to be creative with the ingredients of the season. With his fabulous explanations the chef will teach you things that you will be able to bring home with you. From the appetizers, to the first course, the second course and of course to dessert, the chef will guide you through the fabrications of the delightful, traditional Italian cuisine. What’s particular about his teaching is he always offers his own personal advice on each dish and of course he shows you how to serve it in a rather beautiful manner, after all the eyes are the gateway to our stomachs. Your questions and pictures are always welcome and once you have entered the house, you are provided with your own apron, and thus, along with the chef you are welcome to try everything for yourself. Once you’ve prepared and cooked everything, its time to eat!!! The hum of the soothing river flowing below and the relaxing cool breeze as you sip local Italian wine is sure to make this a day to remember.
