Here is how we have structured the week for you. All activities are thought to be suitable for all preferences and to give everyone our perspective on Italian tradition and language learning.
DAY 1
Morning “Benvenuti in Italia!” – Greetings and presentation of the school. Visit to the eighteenth-century wine cellar “Cantina del Settecento”.
Lunch Taste some cheese and wine at the cellar
Afternoon Move to Putignano and walk around to discover some paper mache artisans.
DAY 2
Morning Visit to Cisternino and the enchanting Eden Garden.
Lunch Lunch in Ceglie Messapica, near Alberobello, to taste some local cheese, wine and spices.
Afternoon Visit to a local bakery where the famous “cegliese” biscuit is produced.
DAY 3
Morning Italian language class to start the day. Move to the protected area of Barsento to discover centuries-old olive trees and some other botanical species of the Mediterranean area.
Lunch Cooking class mastered by an Italian chef to prepare traditional “orecchiette”. At the end you will taste what you prepared.
Afternoon Move to Alberobello. Discover the story of the famous “Trulli” and their unique art.
DAY 4
Morning Move to Ostuni, called the “White Town”. Visit to the Cathedral, Palazzo Vescovile and the Coloum of Sant’Oronzo.
Afternoon Visit to the surrounding wall of Ostuni and to the Sanctuary of Sant’Oronzo.
Dinner Typical Italian “Masseria”
DAY 5
Morning Move to Taranto. Walking tour in the city centre.
Lunch Lunch in a “Trattoria di pesce” (fish restaurant) by the seaside.
Afternoon Visit to the National Archaeology Museum. Free time for a walk on the seaside or for shopping.
DAY 6
Morning Move to Manduria. Walking tour in the city centre.
Afternoon Visit to the archaeological Park of San Pietro in Bevagna where we will meet a guide and a marine biologist to have a snorkelling session. Discover 23 Roman marble sarcophagus only 5/6 metres deep. Move to the Chidro river mouth and enjoy the area of Pink Flamingos.
Dinner Local “agriturismo” to have a typical Italian dinner and taste some traditional products.
DAY 7
Morning Board trip on the catamaran “Jonian Dolphin Conservation” to have the chance to admire dolphins.

Afternoon Goodbye Italian aperitivo to celebrate your week of Lingua e Cultura Italiana!
